Privacy Policy

Cost Design & Technologies LLC ("we," "us," "our") operates Resonant, a lead-capture and quoting tool that local service businesses (our "business customers") use to run QR-code marketing campaigns and quote their own customers.

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what choices you have. We wrote it in plain language on purpose — if anything is unclear, email us and we'll clarify it (and fix the wording).

This policy applies to two kinds of people:

• Business customers — the people who sign up for Resonant, log in, and run their business through it.
• Leads — homeowners or other members of the public who scan a QR code or visit a business customer's landing page and request a quote. If you're a lead, the business you requested a quote from is the one you dealt with directly; we process your information on their behalf, as described below.

1. Information we collect

From business customers

• Account and login info — your name and email, handled through our login provider, WorkOS.
• Business info — your business name, service area, pricing, and campaign details that you enter into Resonant.
• Billing info — your subscription payment (what you pay us to use Resonant) is handled by Stripe. We don't store your card number; Stripe handles that.

From leads (homeowners requesting a quote)

• Contact info — name, email (optional), and/or phone number you provide when requesting a quote.
• Property info — the address and square footage used to generate your quote.
• Quote and acceptance info — the quote you were given and whether you accepted it. Accepting a quote does not involve any payment through Resonant — we don't process payments from leads.
• Ad click info — if you arrived from a Google or Facebook/Instagram ad, we record the ad click ID so the business can see which ad brought you in.

Automatically, from anyone using the site

• Login session cookies — so you stay signed in.
• A CSRF security token — a cookie that helps prevent forged form submissions; it doesn't identify you.

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies of our own.

2. How we use it

• To run the service: create quotes, manage leads, process the business customer's subscription payment, and keep accounts secure. (Leads never pay through Resonant — we only charge the business for using the app.)
• To send emails you'd expect: lead alerts to the business, and (if enabled) a confirmation to the homeowner who requested a quote.
• To look up property details (square footage) needed to calculate a quote.
• To fix bugs and keep the service reliable.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for ads or marketing unrelated to Resonant.

3. Who we share it with

We share information only with trusted outside service providers that help us run Resonant — for things like login, subscription billing, property lookups, sending emails, and error monitoring. We only send each provider what it needs to do its job, that data is encrypted in transit, and for tools like our error monitor, personal details (names, emails, phone numbers, addresses) are automatically stripped out before anything is sent.

We don't share your information with anyone else, except:

• If required by law (e.g., a valid subpoena).
• If Cost Design & Technologies LLC is ever acquired or merges with another company, in which case your information would transfer as part of that deal, under the same protections described here.

4. How long we keep it

We keep account and lead data for as long as the business customer's account is active, so they can keep working their leads and quote history. After an account ends, we retain that data for 90 days to allow recovery, then delete or de-identify it in the ordinary course, unless we need to keep it longer to comply with law, resolve a dispute, or complete our normal backup cycle. You can ask us to delete your information at any time — see Section 5.

5. Your rights

Regardless of where you live, you can ask us to:

• See what personal information we have about you.
• Correct information that's wrong.
• Delete your information.

If you're a California resident, you additionally have the right, under the CCPA, to:

• Know what categories of personal information we've collected and why.
• Request deletion of your personal information.
• Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
• Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — though we don't sell or share personal information for advertising in the first place, so there's nothing to opt out of.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address in Section 8. If you're a lead and want your information corrected or removed, we may need to check with the business you requested a quote from first, since it's their customer record.

6. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including encrypting sensitive credentials, isolating each business customer's data from every other business customer's data, and stripping personal details out of the error reports our monitoring tool collects. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep yours safe.

7. Children's privacy

Resonant isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
